Yesterday we showed you a lovely inspiration board with ruffles on everything! Today, we’re bringing you some of our favorite ruffled dresses. Ruffles are a chic and stylish choice for any bride who wants her dress to stand

out from the crowd on

her

wedding day. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites from Monique Lhuillier, Elie Saab and Vera Wang. Impressive aren’t they?

If you’re anything like us, you love a bit of ruffle on your clothes and bags but did you ever consider incorporating ruffles into your wedding theme? Maybe this style board of all

things ruffle will inspire you! Sure ruffles on your dress, shoes

or hair piece immediately come to mind, but what about adding ruffles to your cake

or use them in decorating the back of your chair at the head table? Keeping the fabric (or icing) in a neutral color makes the look sophisticated rather than over-the-top girly. What do you think? Will you have any ruffles on your wedding day?

Are you

still looking for a cute and inexpensive escort card idea? We recently came upon this simple and original idea that uses seasonal fruits as place cards. Of course, you can use whichever fruits are in season (as long as they have a stem), but

for a fall wedding we recommend starting out with the most readily available- pears, figs or apples.

Using the templates linked below, attach these adorable flags to the stem of a fruit of your choice. The easiest way to adhere the two sides together is by using glue or double sided tape.

We love it when a bride and groom goes out of their way to “shop local” when choosing their wedding vendors.  Sure, most couples hire local vendors, but how many couples use local crafters and designers to create

the wedding gown, groom’s suit and the bride’s birdcage veil?  Heidi and Jesse did all that and more when planning their hipster style Portland wedding.  Photographed by the brilliant Brandon Witzel, who truly captured the intimacy and joy of the day, this wedding was originally posted on  Green Wedding Shoes and we couldn’t resist sharing it with you guys! We were so taken with how Brandon captured the intimacy and joy of this sweet wedding!

The couple got ready for their big day together- what a sweet idea!

To coordinate with her aquamarine engagement ring, Heidi chose a knee length wedding dress of palest aqua by Portland designer Sarah Seven. She contrasted the blue with a white bolero and topped off the a birdcage veil with white feathers and coral silk flowers. A traditional pearl

necklace completed the look.

Straight out of Portlandia, the couple paraded through their neighborhood with a bike posse close behind them.

An open-air “tent” was created with rope and pom poms and cleverly held up with a cluster of yellow helium balloons. The couple continued the bike theme with a sweet bicycle stamp on their favors.
