This lovely mason jar DIY is perfect for a vintage, rustic wedding and is so easy and inexpensive! All you need are an assortment of mason jars (which can be purchased from any hardware store), twine, ribbon or lace and glue.

Put a
small dot of glue where you’d like the twine to start and wait a few seconds for it to become tacky. Then take your length of twine and press it into the glue, holding it tightly while you wrap the first layer of twine. Be sure to wrap the twine over the glue point to hide it and anchor it in place.
Continue wrapping the twine in parallel lines around the vase until you reach your desired width and anchor with more glue at the bottom. Then to create the diagonal pattern, start wrapping the twine in a figure 8 pattern around the jar – up on one side, down on the other. When you have the look you want, finish up with another dab of glue. Then take your piece
of ribbon or lace and secure the twine by tying it tightly around both layers. Voila! A simple but different way to use mason jars at your wedding!

If you were inspired by yesterday’s post about vintage book table numbers, then today we have a fun and easy DIY project from Style Me Pretty for your vintage wedding or event decor.
Materials: a hardcover book of any kind (extra brownie points if the books are
relevant to you and your hubby!), two screws, a screwdriver, thick cardstock, and sturdy metal numbers that can purchased from any store with products for the home and garden.
To attach the numbers to the books, just put the thick cardstock
inside the cover of the book, place the number on the front of the book, and tighten screws with a screwdriver. And that’s it! Done! What a beautiful and simple idea.

We can’t get over how beautiful and elegant these
vintage inspired book table numbers look! Using just a handful of old books
found at thrift stores or the dollar pile at book stores, these vintage inspired table numbers are easy to create and the finished product is extremely cute. Numbers can be painted on, or cut out of colored paper or fabric and glued on. You could even purchase metal numbers from a hardware store and use a screwdriver to attach the numbers to the books. We think they would be extra cute if the numbers were cut out from a page inside the book itself! Check back tomorrow for detailed DIY instructions on how to make your own vintage book table numbers…
Because books come in every color under the sun, you should have no problem finding some to match your wedding color scheme. If you don’t have a lot of time, you could always create a book jacket out of kraft paper or pretty wrapping paper.
