One of the most popular and classic bridal hairstyles has always been the chignon. This elegant hairstyle can be loose or sleek giving it either a traditional look or more romantic and soft style, fitting for any kind of wedding. Try the look for
yourself by gathering your hair in a low pony to one side or at the nape of the neck and pinning up the ends. You can wrap the ends around for a more traditional looking bun, or pull them out in every direction to achieve a more romantic look. The best part is that it looks great with curly
hair, straight hair, or with twists and braids for a more Greek goddess style. The style works with particularly well with birdcage veils and fascinators. We would love it if our hair looked this elegant every day!

Are you planning to do your own hair and makeup on your wedding day? Or perhaps you just need a new hairstyle for a night on the town? Either way, we’ve got a fun DIY for you today – the side chignon.

Step 1: Blow out hair with a round brush to add volume.
Step 2: Use a large barrel curling iron to create waves from the ears down.
Step 3: To build volume at the crown, tease hair gently with a fine tooth comb.
Step 4: Gather hair into a low ponytail, twisting hair along the nape of your neck as you go.
Step 5: When you get to your ear, twist the rest of your hair into curls and pin back over the twist.
Step 6: Spritz on some hairspray to hold strands in place, twisting and curling the whispy ends to add texture.
